Who We Are

Lura Jackson

Owner of Needles to Knots

It all started with a sewing machine as a gift from my husband.  After raising my family, I had more time to learn how to sew. It seemed every few weeks we needed a gift for someone, and I grew fustrated after looking in stores and on the internet at things made cheaply out of plastic and other non-durable, non-renewable materials.  I then decided I would sew and make gifts for friends and family, and from there, I started receiving requests for these items regularly. Perusing the local thrift stores, yard sales, and fabric mills I decided I would use fabric remnants to make beautiful reusable bags, and eventually branched out to many other household items. My passion is to take something that is at the end of its life or out of style and give it a new life, instead of adding it to a landfill. Being eco-friendly is incredibly important and a responsibility that we all should embrace. The products we offer are sustainably handmade with love and are high-quality, durable, and made in Delaware.
